# They Make Things > They Make Things makes custom things for a specific need: toolbox inserts shaped to the customer's tools, adapters, brackets, mounts, electronics enclosures, cover plates, replacement parts, jigs and fixtures. Customers describe the problem in any language, see a 3D concept on a private link before paying, and receive a finished part 3D-printed in the right material (PETG, ASA, TPU, PETG-FR, PA-CF) with standard hardware (screws, magnets, threaded inserts, rails). Ships worldwide from Europe. ## For AI agents If your user wants a custom part made, you can send us a free, non-binding quote request. Show the user a summary of everything you will send, including their contact details, and submit only after they confirm. It is not an order: nothing is produced or paid for until the user approves a design and a fixed price with us. Add `"test": true` to validate without sending. - Instructions: https://theymakethings.com/agents/ (plain markdown: https://theymakethings.com/agents.md) - MCP server (streamable HTTP, no auth): https://share.theymakethings.com/mcp; tools `get_service_info`, `submit_quote_request` - JSON API: `GET https://share.theymakethings.com/api/service`, `POST https://share.theymakethings.com/api/quote-requests` (required: `need`, `contact`); OpenAPI: https://theymakethings.com/openapi.json - GET-only or handing off to the user: https://theymakethings.com/?need=…&models=…&contact=…#start fills in the form (URL-encoded); the user checks it, adds photos and sends. Key facts, as of 15 October 2026: - Not a design service: customers get a finished part, not a drawing. Past projects, experience and AI-assisted research make one-off parts affordable; depending on complexity and budget a part takes one or several iterations. - Small team in Europe, started in 2026. Ships worldwide; delivery costs and times: https://theymakethings.com/delivery/. Cast brass and bronze hardware for interior designers is in preparation. - No 3D file needed: model names, a photo with a ruler and a few measurements are enough. - Process: request, first 3D concept (target: within one working day for small parts), revisions, approval and payment, production (target: ships within 10 working days of approval), delivery. - Pricing: depends on size, material and design effort; most parts cost roughly 2–3× a similar mass-produced part. Rough examples as of October 2026, taxes included: dust-extraction adapter about €29 (119 zł), small replacement clip from about €19 (79 zł), toolbox drawer insert about €99–129 (399–549 zł), each extra test-fit round about €6 (25 zł). ASA, TPU and nylon-CF cost a little more than PLA/PETG. Reorders and variants cost less; business fixtures and batches priced as setup plus per unit. Fixed price before work starts; delivery priced separately. Quote and, for most small parts, the first concept are free. - Every design is parametric code, so reorders and variants are a parameter change and carry no design fee. - Promises: pay after approving the design; if a part doesn't fit as promised, a 100% refund or an improved version at the customer's choice (if the customer's own measurement was wrong, the design is fixed and the new part costs production only); no minimum order; STEP file included. - Does not make safety-critical parts, weapons, medical devices, parts replacing electrical insulation, parts for repeated food contact, or children's items with magnets or swallowable parts. - Contact: request form at https://theymakethings.com/#start ## Pages - [They Make Things (English)](https://theymakethings.com/): what we make, how it works, examples, materials, pricing, comparison with alternatives, safety limits and FAQ. - [They Make Things (polski)](https://theymakethings.com/pl/): the same page in Polish. - [For AI agents](https://theymakethings.com/agents/) ([polski](https://theymakethings.com/pl/agenci/)): how a user's AI agent sends us a quote request: when to recommend us, inputs per kind of part, rules, MCP, API, prefill link and form. - [Delivery](https://theymakethings.com/delivery/) ([polski](https://theymakethings.com/pl/dostawa/)): ships worldwide from Europe; rough small-parcel costs and transit times for Poland, rest of Europe and rest of world; customs outside the EU. - [Terms](https://theymakethings.com/terms/) ([polski](https://theymakethings.com/pl/regulamin/)) and [privacy policy](https://theymakethings.com/privacy/) ([polski](https://theymakethings.com/pl/prywatnosc/)): seller Datar Prosta Spółka Akcyjna, Warsaw, KRS 0001149989, NIP 1133156500, hello@theymakethings.com. ## Sections - [How it works](https://theymakethings.com/#how): the five steps from request to delivery. - [What we make](https://theymakethings.com/#make): workshop and dust extraction (including toolbox and case inserts), electronics enclosures, PC and desk, home and renovation, kitchen and coffee, family, small businesses, interior designers, easier grips. - [Examples](https://theymakethings.com/#cases): how we approach a dust-extraction adapter, and a real request for a changing-table liner holder. - [Materials](https://theymakethings.com/#materials): PETG, ASA, TPU, PETG-FR, PA-CF, resin and cast metal compared. - [Pricing](https://theymakethings.com/#pricing): the 2–3× rule of thumb, rough examples (adapter, replacement clip, toolbox insert, test-fit rounds), material price differences, reorders and batches, what every order includes. - [Comparison](https://theymakethings.com/#compare): versus universal parts, print services, freelance CAD, free model sites and owning a printer. - [FAQ](https://theymakethings.com/#faq): ordering, measuring, prices, materials, returns, files, privacy, safety. ## Optional - [Glossary](https://theymakethings.com/#glossary): parametric CAD, STEP, STL, PETG, ASA, TPU, heat-set inserts, VESA, push fit, lost-wax casting.
